This album came about by chance. I was working on a very different concept when the music I was writing became very ambient and minimalist in nature. The idea of creating a set of music scapes which may or may not represent a different type of leaf took hold and this is the result.

I knew I wanted 6 and that each needed to be of a reasonable length to create what I imagined was a microscopic journey from stem to tip. It didn't always work that way and some are simply a representation of the sounds (possibly heard by an ant when someone walks through leaves, or not).

My sound sources were synth and VST based. My trusty Roland JV-80 gave me the softer, more rounded sounds. I used Garritan Personal Orchestra for the more obviously classical elements.

As far as influences go, I am indebted to Vangelis, Brian Eno and Phillip Glass for their extraordinary gifts to the music world.

I hope you can appreciate the album. It is a pleasant way to rest your mind.
