It Took Awhile It took awhile but the while was worth it I saw your smile What a smile Sometimes I wander and time floats away Staring at candles aligning the flame Sometimes I see things and wonder the truth far fetched from meaning my soul tends to blue Clouds darken skylights and windows turn grey Breezes are whistling the tune seems so fake Thundering raindrops smothering slime Creeping and crawling cleansing my mind It took awhile but the while was worth it I see your eyes How they shine Light pushes fog from the mystical past Shattered the falling glass tears at my heart Somehow I see you and wonder the truth Time stretching youthfulness forgoes me too It took awhile but the while was worth it I saw your smile What a smile It took awhile but the while was worth it I see your eyes How they shine.

What I Am 03:49
What I Am. Sometimes it gets so dark here It’s not who I am. So long I’ve looked for light here Can’t believe I can. Hey, take a deep breath. Hold, then let it go. Feel, as your heart beats, Peace and let it grow. Outside, a fear controls me Pins me to the ground. Heavy and cold, I crumble Scattered all around. Hey, take a deep breath. Hold, then let it go. Feel, as your heart beats, Smile and let it grow. Sometimes my name eludes me It’s not what I am. Sometimes a dream reminds me It’s not what I am. Hey, take a deep breath. Hold, then let it go. Feel, as your heart beats, Love and let it grow.

Who Am I Today Tomorrow Is it just a mirror or a reflection of my soul? Feeling pixillated, my mind is in a hole. Looking like an angel but the devil’s deep inside Burning just to get out and take me for a ride. Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Everywhere I turn, the madness seems to grow. Walking seems so easy - still I stub my toe. Hanging like a scarecrow whenever I can stop Seeing something different even though I know it’s not. Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Today is the day to forget the past. Tomorrow, when it comes, never will last. Today is the day to forget the past. Tomorrow, when it comes… We’ll have a blast. Smashing through the mist, yeah the fog of time Searching for a guru to clarify Aching like I’m feeling at the end of the road. Well, here I am - have you been told? Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Today is the day to forget the past. Tomorrow, when it comes, never will last. Today is the day to forget the past. Tomorrow, when it comes… We’ll have a blast. Is it just a mirror or a reflection of my soul? Feeling pixillated, my mind is in a hole. Looking like an angel but the devil’s deep inside Burning just to get out and take me for a ride. Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow? Let it go… Who am I today, tomorrow?

Undercurrent (philosophical anecdotes) “You can’t undo what hasn’t happened,” a wise man said to me. “The same as you can’t change what has.” The verdict. “Move on.” “You see,” he added. “There are always two choices when facing a crisis. Change the system (well, good luck with that!) or change the way you deal with it. Now, that’s something you can do.” “And, making excuses is pointless. Making things happen, however, is absolutely momentous.” “And, there’s always time for coffee!” There’s always time for coffee. You can’t undo what hasn’t happened. Change the way you deal with it. Make things happen. Time for coffee, there’s always time for coffee. Time for coffee.

Shadow Walking Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides no fear Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides Shielded from sunlight skin stays so pale frightened of footsteps set up to fail Stuck in a mirror of this decay looking for substance taken away Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides Hide in a corner back to the wall squashed like a bean bag flat on the floor Claws out and ready preened to let flay any who enter get in the way Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides Mindlessly working daring to breathe twisting and turning hoping to leave Dread turns to wonder surprise at the truth deadly or lively where is the proof Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides Shadow walking creeping crawling behind your eyes Shadow walking whispered talking darkness hides no fear

Look Beyond The Day It’s said, “remember eleven o’clock.” Time standing still ’til we stop. Dropping the head, honour the dead. Remember the names forgot. As days go by and years go past, we wonder what it was for. Somewhere in the world, it seems, there’s always cause for war. Oil, power, drugs, yeah! Fears of terror – take care. Look beyond the day… Climate change is here now. Same old story, somehow. Look beyond the day… Look beyond the day… And yet, remember eleven o’clock. Time moving on but we stop. Look at the ground, utter the sound. Remember lest we forgot. And, all of us we have the chance to make a positive call. A call to make the future right for those who follow us all. Oil, power, drugs, yeah! Fears of terror – take care. Look beyond the day… Climate change is here now. Same old story, somehow. Look beyond the day… Look beyond the day… As days go by and years go past, we wonder what it was for. Somewhere in the world, it seems, there’s always cause for war. And, all of us we have the chance to make a positive call. A call to make the future right for those who follow us all. And yet, remember eleven o’clock. (Look beyond the day…) And yet, remember eleven o’clock. (Look beyond the day…) And yet, remember eleven o’clock. (Look beyond the day…) And yet, remember eleven o’clock. (Look beyond the day…)

about

Songs written during the many Lockdowns. I wanted to create a set of images relating to the uncertainty surrounding life in the current world and yet leave with a sense of hope – if only we could see the possibilities.
